Design concepts are interesting because they often take mundane things we all use and make them into something that may or may not be better. One of the things we are all familiar with are key fobs for keyless entry on the doors of our cars. I always hit the wrong button and end up having to look at the key to see which button I am pressing.
The Pebble concept is aimed at people like me that want something that you really can’t mess up. The thing has no buttons and you lock or unlock the doors on your car by sliding the device up or down. Three LEDs show you if you are locking or unlocking.
The issue I see with the device is that the profile appears to be the same all around. There doesn’t seem to be any way to tell without looking which way you are holding the Pebble. Without a way to tell by touch you could still lock or unlock the doors by mistake.
