Pantone has just released a new gadget that allows designers to record the details of a specific colour on the move . The Pantone Capsure device is a compact, handheld device that lets design professionals confidently measure and match color instantly.
Pantone’s Capsure uses a powerful tri-directional image capture technology that eliminates the shadows and interference inherent to patterned and textured materials and surfaces. Allowing you to take a colour sample from carpet and textured surfaces easily.
The surface to be recorded is lit from three different angles while the Capsure records 27 color-accurate images every 1.6 seconds.
The device is capable of holding upto 100 colours and has a small screen on which you can view colours and extract up to four dominant colors from an intricate pattern by zooming into a specific place.
