Microsoft has released a new version of Outlook for iOS, and the update brings a range of new features to Outlook on the iPhone.
The latest version of Outlook introduces a variety of new add-ins, including ones from Evernote, GIPHY, Nimble, Trello, and more. These add-ins are designed to enhance productivity and streamline workflows directly from your inbox.
Enhanced Productivity with New Add-Ins
Two years ago, we launched Outlook mobile with the goal of helping you accomplish more while on the go. More means an inbox that helps you focus on the emails that matter most. More means a calendar that can manage your entire day, not just show you your schedule. And today, we are excited to continue that mission by bringing apps to your inbox with add-ins for Outlook on iOS.
We’re thrilled to collaborate with Evernote, GIPHY, Nimble, Trello, and Smartsheet and bring their add-ins to Outlook on iOS. These integrations allow users to seamlessly incorporate their favorite tools into their email workflow. For instance, Evernote can be used to save important emails directly to your notes, while Trello allows you to create and manage tasks without leaving your inbox. GIPHY adds a fun element by enabling you to insert GIFs into your emails, making communication more engaging.
Microsoft’s Own Add-Ins
In addition to third-party add-ins, we’re also making a few of our own add-ins available today with Dynamics 365 and Microsoft Translator, with many more to follow. Dynamics 365 integration allows users to access customer relationship management (CRM) data directly from their inbox, making it easier to track customer interactions and sales opportunities. Microsoft Translator, on the other hand, helps break down language barriers by providing real-time translation of emails, which is particularly useful for international business communications.
These new features are part of our ongoing effort to make Outlook not just an email client, but a comprehensive productivity tool. By integrating these add-ins, we aim to provide a more cohesive and efficient user experience. For example, with the Smartsheet add-in, project managers can update project statuses and timelines directly from their email, reducing the need to switch between different applications.
Moreover, the new version of Outlook for iOS also includes performance improvements and bug fixes, ensuring a smoother and more reliable user experience. The app’s interface has been refined to make navigation more intuitive, and new customization options allow users to tailor the app to their specific needs.
The introduction of these add-ins is a significant step forward in our mission to make Outlook a central hub for all your productivity needs. Whether you’re managing tasks, collaborating with team members, or communicating with clients, the new Outlook for iOS has the tools you need to stay organized and efficient.
