Opera has now jumped into Version 11 with it first beta being released. This new version now comes with the highly anticipated and long missing extensions API that will add extra functionality to the browser. API extensions have long been used in Chrome and have also come to Apple’s Safari recently.
Opera has provided developers with guidelines for writing extensions and a new site for uploading completed extensions.
Other features of the new Opera 11 browser include Tab Slacking, allowing you to easily stack tabs, by simply dragging one tab on top of another.
Hovering the mouse over a tab will cause the stack to expand in a visual preview. Clicking the arrow icon expands the current stack across the tab bar. Check out the video below.
