Opera 10.6 just released for download is attempting to regain first place in the fastest browser league, with its updated Java engine that is reportedly 50% faster than the 10.5 release.
The new Opera 10.6 has plenty of new features including new menus, icons and new search options. Opening web pages and tabs are optimised to happen instantly. Together with support for new WebM video and support for the new HTML 5 standard.

The WebM video format has been designed to provide royalty free high quality video compression in an open format for use with HTML5 video and is currently sponsored by Google.
The latest Opera 10.6 update is now available to download for Linux, Mac OSX and Windows from www.opera.com/browser/
