Just over a week ago we heard that shipments of the new OnePlus One smartphone had been delayed in Europe, and now the company has announced further delays of the handset.
One Plus One has now said that they are around 20 days behind their own release schedule, and they have explained what has caused the delays.
Lots of people who have received invites are asking why their status still shows pending. I want to be as factual as possible in my explanation of these delays.
Last week, two large shipments, one headed to the US, the other to Europe, were delayed by many small issues compounded. We did not leave enough leeway for these delays and the fact we had promised contest winners invites pressured us to send the invites out before shipments arrived at the warehouse.
The company has said that their are expecting their shipments to arrive at their European and U.S. warehouses this week, and that they will then start shipping the devices out.
You can find out more details about the delays to the OnePlus One smartphone over at their forums at the link below, hopefully people who have ordered the handset will start to get their deliveries soon.
