It’s been sometime since OnePlus One was released, but it’s still facing some unexpected delays. For those of you who managed to score the handset have been wondering if the handset will ever the get the Android 5.0 L treatment, the answer is yes.
Recently, the folks at OnePlus One confirmed via their forums that OnePlus One will get the taste of Android 5.0 L within three months after Google releases the update for manufacturers.
So a lot – I mean, a lot – of people are asking about whether we’ll be getting on the Android L train. It was announced while I was asleep and when I got back to work the morning after, there were already a bunch of forum posts and (strangely) customer support requests about it.
Well, we’re keen to announce today that the OnePlus One will indeed be getting the L treatment. When, you ask? That depends on Google. We promise to have it done within three months of their releasing a final build.
It shouldn’t come as a surprise that OnePlus One will get the update. It’s a new flagship device, and it would come as a disappointing news if OnePlus one doesn’t releases the update for the handset.
OnePlus One rocks a 5.5-inch display sporting 1080p resolution, a Snapdragon 801 chipset, 3GB of RAM, 16/64GB storage options, a 3,100 mAh battery, 13MP camera and runs Cyanogenmod as its operating system. As soon as we get some more details on when the Android 5.0 L update will be available we will let you guys know.
