We recently heard that the new OnePlus 6T would be headed to T-Mobile in the US and now we have more evidence that the device will launch soon, the device was recently certified by the EEC.
The EEC or Eurasian Economic Commission recently certified the handset with the model number OnePlus A6013. Unfortunately, the listing did not reveal any more details on what hardware the handset will come with.
Expected Upgrades and Features
The device is expected to get a number of upgrades over the OnePlus 6. The existing handset comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor and it features an Adreno 630 GPU, plus 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. It is anticipated that the OnePlus 6T will continue to build on these impressive specifications, possibly featuring an even more powerful processor, such as the Snapdragon 855, and potentially offering configurations with up to 10GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
Other specifications on the OnePlus 6 include a 6.28 inch AMOLED display with a FHD+ resolution of 2280 x 1080 pixels. The OnePlus 6T is rumored to have a slightly larger display, possibly around 6.4 inches, with an improved resolution and a smaller notch, or even a waterdrop notch, to provide a more immersive viewing experience.
Camera Enhancements
The OnePlus 6 features a front-facing 20-megapixel camera with an f/2.0 aperture, which is excellent for selfies and video calls. On the back, there are dual cameras: a 16-megapixel camera and a 20-megapixel camera, both with an f/1.7 aperture. The OnePlus 6T is expected to enhance these camera capabilities further. There are speculations that the new model might include a triple camera setup on the back, similar to other flagship smartphones, which would significantly improve its photography capabilities, especially in low-light conditions.
Additionally, the front camera might see an upgrade in terms of sensor quality and software enhancements, such as improved AI features for better portrait modes and more advanced facial recognition technology.
Battery and Software Improvements
Battery life is always a critical aspect of any smartphone. The OnePlus 6 comes with a 3,300 mAh battery, which provides a decent amount of usage time. However, the OnePlus 6T is expected to feature a larger battery, possibly around 3,700 mAh or more, to support the more powerful hardware and larger display. This would ensure that users can enjoy longer usage times without needing to recharge frequently.
On the software side, the OnePlus 6T will likely ship with the latest version of OxygenOS, which is based on Android Pie. This will bring a host of new features and improvements, such as better gesture navigation, adaptive battery, and enhanced security features. OnePlus is known for its near-stock Android experience, which is highly optimized for performance and user experience.
Additional Features and Innovations
OnePlus has always been at the forefront of innovation, and the OnePlus 6T is expected to introduce some new features that will set it apart from its predecessors. One such feature could be an in-display fingerprint sensor, which has been a growing trend in the smartphone industry. This would provide a more seamless and futuristic way to unlock the device.
Another potential feature could be improved water and dust resistance, making the OnePlus 6T more durable and reliable in various environments. Wireless charging is another feature that many users have been requesting, and it would be a welcome addition to the OnePlus 6T.
As soon as we get some details on the specifications of the new OnePlus 6T and also some pictures of the handset, we will let you guys know.
