NVIDIA has taken the wraps of their latest gaming device, the NVIDIA Shield Tablet, this is a device we have been hearing quite a bit about over the last few weeks.
The new NVIDIA Shield Tablet comes with an 8 inch Full HD display that has a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels, the device is powered by the new NVIDIA Tegra K1 processor that comes with a clock speed of 2.2Ghz.
Other specifications on the new NVIDIA Shield Tablet include a pair of front facing speaks, and a dual bass reflex port with a built in microphone.
There will be two models of the Shield available, one with WiFi only that comes with 16GB of built in storage, the other with WiFi and 4G LTE, this model comes with 32GB of included storage.
The new NVIDIA Shield Tablet is also equipped with a front facing 5 megapixel HDR camera, and a rear facing 5 megapixel camera with auto-focus and HDR.
The Shield will run Google’s Android 4.4 KitKat, and it will have access to apps and games from the Google Play Store, the company is also launching a wireless game controller for the Shield which will retail for $59.99.
The 16GB WiFi only version of the Shield will retail for $299 and the 32GB model with WiFi and LTE will retail for $399, you can find out more details at the link below. The 16GB model is now available to pre-order, the 32GB mnodel will be available to order at a later date.
