Earlier this year, the Finnish company Nokia share its plans to re-enter the smartphone and tablets market on a global basis, however, the company didn’t share exact details of what it’s planning to launch.
According to a new report, Nokia is expected to introduce new tablets and smartphones by the end of the fourth quarter with their launch taking place sometime in early 2017, citing Mike Wang, president of the joint management team at Nokia China.
The company has partnered with Foxconn as their manufacturing partner with HMD, a company founded by former Nokia executive, handling the designing of the devices.
Over the past few weeks, we’ve heard rumors that Nokia is working on some high-end smartphones featuring Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 processor and displays as big as 5.5-inch to complete with the current high-end offerings from the likes of Samsung, Huawei and Apple.
It will be interesting to see what Nokia can come up with and how it will compete in the competitive smartphone market. We’ll update you as soon as we hear anything more about the upcoming devices from Nokia.
