We have already heard that the new Nokia N8 will be available with Vodafone UK, now it looks like it will also be available from UK mobile phone operator T-Mobile, although we still don’t have an exact launch date as yet.
The Nokia N8 features a 3.5 inch capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 640 x 360 pixels, and it features 16GB of built in storage, plus a microSD card slot that can take up to 32GB cards.
Advanced Camera Capabilities
The Nokia N8 also features a 12 megapixel camera with a Carl Zeiss lens and a Xenon flash. This high-quality camera setup allows users to capture stunning photos and videos, making it a strong contender in the smartphone market for photography enthusiasts. The Xenon flash is particularly useful for low-light conditions, ensuring that your photos are well-lit and clear. Additionally, the camera supports HD video recording, allowing you to capture moments in high definition.
Social Media Integration and OVI Services
The Nokia N8 comes with integration for a range of social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter. Updates from these platforms are delivered directly to the N8’s home screen, making it easy for users to stay connected with their social circles. This feature is particularly useful for those who rely on social media for both personal and professional communication.
In addition to social media integration, the Nokia N8 offers access to a range of Nokia OVI services. These services include OVI Maps for navigation, OVI Music for music streaming and downloads, and OVI Store for a variety of apps and games. The inclusion of these services adds significant value to the device, making it more than just a smartphone but a comprehensive multimedia and productivity tool.
T-Mobile haven’t given any pricing or launch date details as yet, although you can register for more details on the Nokia N8 over at the T-Mobile website.
The Nokia N8 is also expected to feature HDMI output, allowing users to connect the device to a TV or monitor for a larger viewing experience. This is particularly useful for watching videos, playing games, or even giving presentations directly from your phone. The device also supports Dolby Digital Plus technology, ensuring high-quality audio output.
Another notable feature is the inclusion of USB On-The-Go, which allows users to connect USB devices such as flash drives directly to the phone. This makes it easier to transfer files without the need for a computer, adding another layer of convenience for users.
The Nokia N8 runs on the Symbian^3 operating system, which offers a user-friendly interface and a range of customization options. While Symbian may not be as popular as Android or iOS, it still provides a robust and reliable user experience.
In terms of connectivity, the Nokia N8 supports 3G, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth, ensuring that you can stay connected no matter where you are. The device also features a built-in GPS receiver, making it easy to navigate using OVI Maps or other navigation apps.
Overall, the Nokia N8 is shaping up to be a versatile and feature-rich smartphone that caters to a wide range of user needs. Whether you’re a photography enthusiast, a social media addict, or someone who needs a reliable device for work and play, the Nokia N8 has something to offer.
