We recently heard rumors that Microsoft would be launching a new Android smartphone under their Nokia Lumia brand, the brand has previously be exclusively for Windows Phone devices.
Microsoft already has some Android devices under the Nokia X brand, and now we have a concept of what a Nokia Lumia Android handset may look like from designer Vishal Bhanushali, the device is called the Nokia Lumia X.
Microsoft’s current Nokia X and Nokia X2 smartphones are budget devices, but if they do release a Nokia Lumia X, we can expect the device to come with some high end specifications.
As you can see from the concept video and photos, the Nokia Lumia X concept comes with Android 5.0 L and it features a 20 megapixel Nokia Pureview camera, these are the sort of specifications we would expect Microsoft to include in a high end Android device.
There have been rumors that Microsoft will also be bringing Android apps to their Nokia Lumia Windows Phone devices, things certainly have changed since Steve Ballmer stepped down from the company.
If Microsoft does decide to release a high end Android smartphone, it could end up being popular, and could help the company to get Android fans interested in their Nokia Lumia devices and also their Windows Phone platform.
