RIM recently announced its new BlackBerry platform, which it originally called BlackBerry BBX, but had to change the name to BlackBerry 10 after it was discovered that another company owned the trademark for BBX.
We have already seen a leaked photo of one of the new BlackBerry 10 devices, which is rumored to be called the BlackBerry Surfboard, and now it would appear that the first devices wont launch until the end of next year.
The new comes from RIM’s CEO, Mike Lazaridis, who has said that the chipset to be used in the devices won’t be widely available until the middle of next year and we wont see the first BlackBerry 10 device until the end of 2012.
