We have been hearing that the Google Nexus One would be getting updated to Android 2.3 Gingerbread ever since Gingerbread was announced, unfortunately the update has yet to be released.
Many Nexus One owners are wondering when they will finally see Gingerbread on their handset, and now it looks like the update may be released within the next few days.
The guys over at Mobile Crunch were recently told by someone from Google that the Nexus One would get Gingerbread very soon, although no specific date was mentioned.
They also spoke to a number of manufacturers, who confirmed that Gingerbread will roll out to the Nexus One either by the end of this week or the beginning of next week as an OTA update.
Of course there is no official announcement from Google on these dates, so I guess we will have to wait until early next week to find out if Gingerbread will finally be released for the Nexus One.
