From one smart object to another! After your mobile phone, TV, and notebook, your computer monitor is getting smarter too, and if you get a Philips ErgoSensor Monitor, be prepared to be reminded (or scolded) when you slouch.
The 24-inch ErgoSensor Monitor has a 1920 x 1080 large color display with 1,000:1 contrast ratio, plus we already mentioned about its ErgoSense. Using the ErgoSensor located at the top of the monitor where a built-in webcam should be, ErgoSense would give suggestions to the user regarding his or her time spent before the display, posture while sitting, and distance from the monitor. It also automatically switches to Power Saving mode once it stops detecting one’s presence in front of the screen. Philips says it can save up to 80% of power given its sense capabilities.
Height, rotation angle, tilt, and swivel can be adjusted to your (or to ErgoSense’s) preferences. We’re awaiting word from Philips about the monitor’s other specs, as well as its price.
