Jaguar unveiled their first electric SUV earlier today, the Jaguar I-PACE Concept, and now they have released a couple of videos of the car.
The Jaguar I-PACE Concept will actually go into production in 2018, although there may be some design changes before it launches.

Performance and Range
It certainly looks very interesting from the videos, and the car will come with a range of around 500km (approximately 310 miles) on a single charge. This impressive range is made possible by a 90 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, which is designed to deliver both high performance and long-distance driving capabilities. The I-PACE Concept is expected to have a 0 to 60 miles per hour time of under four seconds, making it one of the fastest electric SUVs on the market. This acceleration is achieved through its dual electric motors, which provide all-wheel drive and a combined output of around 400 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque.
Design and Features
The design of the Jaguar I-PACE Concept is both futuristic and practical. The exterior features a sleek, aerodynamic shape that not only looks stylish but also helps to reduce drag and improve efficiency. The front of the car is dominated by a bold grille and slim LED headlights, giving it a distinctive and aggressive look. The interior is equally impressive, with a spacious cabin that offers plenty of room for passengers and luggage. High-quality materials and advanced technology are used throughout, creating a luxurious and comfortable environment.
One of the standout features of the I-PACE Concept is its advanced infotainment system, which includes a large touchscreen display, voice control, and a range of connectivity options. This system allows drivers to easily access navigation, entertainment, and vehicle information, making every journey more enjoyable and convenient. Additionally, the car is equipped with a range of driver assistance systems, such as adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and automated emergency braking, which help to enhance safety and reduce the risk of accidents.
Environmental Impact
The Jaguar I-PACE Concept is not only designed to deliver high performance and luxury but also to minimize its environmental impact. As an all-electric vehicle, it produces zero tailpipe emissions, helping to reduce air pollution and combat climate change. The use of sustainable materials in its construction further enhances its eco-friendly credentials. For example, the interior features recycled materials and responsibly sourced wood, demonstrating Jaguar’s commitment to sustainability.
Moreover, the I-PACE Concept supports fast charging, allowing the battery to be recharged to 80% capacity in just 40 minutes using a 100 kW DC fast charger. This makes it convenient for long-distance travel and reduces the time spent waiting for the car to recharge. With the growing network of charging stations, owners will find it increasingly easy to keep their vehicles charged and ready to go.
The Jaguar I-PACE Concept represents a significant step forward for the brand and the electric vehicle market as a whole. With its combination of high performance, advanced technology, and eco-friendly design, it is set to be a popular choice for those looking to make the switch to electric driving. The production version of the I-PACE is eagerly anticipated, and it will be interesting to see how it evolves from the concept stage to the final product.
