God of War

Cory Barlog from Sony Santa Monica Studios Explains more about what you can expect from the new God of War game that is currently under development and will take the series back to a new beginning.

The last game is being developed by Santa Monica Studios and takes Kratos on a new journey. Checkout the new video below to see God of War Creative Director Cory Barlog gets a chance to meet Emmanuel, a fan from Mexico whose life has been profoundly influenced by the God of War game series.

God of War

The God of War has changed… and this is not the Kratos you know. A difficult and unfamiliar road awaits as you explore a stunning retelling of a classic story. Join Kratos as he adventures through a deep and reflective journey of growth, violence and the desire to become a better man for the sake of his son. In a world of monsters, dragons and gods, the weight of responsibility rests heavy on your shoulders – and when your life is filled with blood and chaos, how can you prevent the mistakes of the past in order to protect your future?

Checkout the new video below to see God of War Creative Director Cory Barlog gets a chance to meet Emmanuel, a fan from Mexico whose life has been profoundly influenced by the God of War game series.

Just before our E3 reveal I had the opportunity to meet up with God of War super fan Emmanuel Mojica Rosas hailing all the way from Xalisco Nayarit, Mexico. At this point in the project this was probably the busiest and most stressful time for me but I was still incredibly excited to meet this guy to hear about his journey with God of War and see how he reacts to where we are taking the game. First, because I know how much the entire region of Latin America appreciates God of War.

So much so that I want to go out there and meet more people when it comes closer to the release of the game. Second, I work in service of the audience and everything I do, every decision I make, is aimed at giving the player the best experience possible. The story and heart of the journey still comes from within, realized through the unending tenacity and creativity of an incredible team, but the end experience is painstakingly crafted for those who will play it. As a creator, being able to hang out and talk about the game with someone like Emmanuel, whose life has been impacted by God of War, was something very special to me.

Unfortunately no information on worldwide availability has been released as yet, but as soon as information comes to light we will keep you updated as always.
