ECS has this week unveiled a new addition to their range of mini PC systems in the form of the new LIVA mini PC kit which is now equipped with 64GB of internal storage, doubling that of the previous model.
The LIVA mini PC kit features an Intel Bay Trail-M SoC (System-on-a-Chip) processor supported by 2GB DDR3L RAM and eMMC 64 or 32GB of internal storage in a case that measures just 4.6 x 2.8 x 2.2 inches and weighs less than half a pound.
The system is cooled using fanless technology and has been designed to run Microsoft’s latest Windows 8.1 64-bit operating system. Providing owners with a tiny desktop machine perfect for many different applications. ECS explains :
“eMMC, Embedded Multi-Media Card, comprised of both flash memory and a flash memory controller, which is often used for mobile devices. eMMC greatly reduces the response time and is suitable for high performance applications.
The evolution of onboard interface M.2 socket provides a better and faster standard for connecting NGFF (Next Generation Form Factor), provides a better and faster standard for connection and expansion. LIVA adopts the latest M.2 Interface with the WiFi / Bluetooth Combo Card for Better wireless communication.”
Other features of the system include Realtek RTL8111G Lan connection, Realtek ALC282(2CH) audio as well as WiFi 802.11a/b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity, together with 1 x HDMI, 1 x VGA, 1 x USB 3.0 and 1 x USB 2.0.
