This week Apple has rolled out a new Mountain Lion Developer Preview 4, which has brought with it a new security feature that will roll out with the official Mountain Lion OS X software launch next month.
The newly added Mountain Lion security feature will now automatically check daily for security updates to the OS X software, and if any are available will automatically install them. Helping keep the OS X secure and malware free for users.
The new security feature will also tie in with the new PowerNap feature introduced in Mountain Lion and designed for the newly launched Mac systems. Enabling them to install software while the systems are asleep.
The current OS X will check for security updates weekly and requires user intervention to install the update. The latest Mountain Lion Developer Preview 4 is now available to download via the Apple Mac App Store.
