It looks like Amazon could be about to launch a new Amazon Kindle Fire HDX tablet, as an updated version of the device has appeared in the AnTuTu benchmarks.
The Kindle Fire HDX that has appeared in the AnTuTu benchmarks is showing a quad core 2.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor and an Adreno 420 GPU, it is also listed with 2GB of RAM.
The 8.9 inch display on the new Kindle Fire HDX appears to have a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels, and the device will come with front and rear facing cameras with a 1 megapixel camera up front and an 8 megapixel camera on the back.
This new version of Amazon’s Kindle Fire HDX tablet appears to be running the latest release of Google’s mobile OS, Android 4.4.4 KitKat.
The majority of the specifications on this updated Kindle Fire HDX tablet are the same as the existing version, excluding the new faster Snapdragon 805 processor and improved graphics. It would appear that Amazon will keep the existing design of the Kindle Fire HDX for the next version.
As yet there are no details on when Amazon may launch this new version of their 8.9 inch tablet, as soon as we get some more information on when it will be available we will let you guys know.
