Some Etsy sellers has recently received invites from Amazon over the past few days to sign up for the new Amazon Handmade section of ecommerce site.
The Amazon email to Etsy sellers read: “We’re offering artisans like you a first peek at Handmade, a new marketplace for handcrafted goods,”
However at the current time both Etsy and Amazon representatives have declined to comment on the new published by the Wall Street Journal. As soon as more information comes to light regards the new Handmade section on Amazon and when it might go live, we will keep you updated.
“Etsy, which went public on April 16, reported a $36.6 million loss in this year’s first quarter, wider than the $463,000 loss a year earlier, despite a 44% jump in revenue to $58.5 million.”
