Today VIZIO has unveiled its new lineup of 2018 VIZIO sound bars which are equipped with Dolby Atmos and Chromecast audio support. The three new sandbars take the form of the 46-inch 5.1.4, 46-inch 3.1.2 and 36-inch 5.1.2 with the numbers corresponding to the configuration of the channels and speakers. The sound bars are capable of providing up to 10 channels of “Crystal-Clear Sound”, including 4 unique upward-firing speakers.
The new range of VIZIO sound bars also offer voice-control support using Google Assistant, together with Bluetooth and wireless streaming integration allowing audio streaming from a wide variety of different devices. “VIZIO is continuously engineering ways to improve the home-entertainment experience for consumers, and this next iteration of audio solutions proves just that,” said Bill Baxter, Chief Technology Officer, VIZIO. “By integrating Dolby Atmos into our all-new home theater sound bar systems, we’re able to bring premium, multidimensional cinema-quality audio into the home. Our flagship 46″ 5.1.4 system features four upward-firing speakers that allow sound to reflect off the ceiling, encapsulating listeners and wrapping the entire viewing area with sound.”
Unfortunately, no information on pricing or worldwide availability has been released as yet by Vizio, but as soon as information comes to light, we will keep you updated as always. Also joining VIZIO’s 2018 audio collection is the 36″ 2.1 Sound Bar with Built-in Dual Subwoofers.
