If you ever despaired over your futile home improvement labors, then pray this Neutral Power Drill is picked up by some manufacturer. When Tim Bennet designed this user friendly power tool, we’re sure he had in mind all the chicks and guys who need stylish hardware for their stylish abodes. What the Neutral Power Drill does better than its more rugged peers is a convenient slide mechanism, a laser pointer, and a no-nonsense square shape.
With the praiseful part over and done with, we have to take issue about the criminal lack of ergonomics here. If a power tool with that kind of straight handle ever gets caught in a manly workplace, it’s gonna break fast. The slide mechanism seems awkward too. The lase pointer is a cool feature though. It’s unbelievable what a royal mess drilling in holes and screws could become without the benefit of pinpoint accuracy.
Tim Bennet wants his baby to slug it out in iF Concept Design 2011, a brutal competition where the most stylish household objects duke it out for total supremacy. Anyway, if we had the power to make changes on this drill, it’s be a little more sland in the design, meaning the handle should be shaped like a pistol grip for ease-of-use. Aside from that, the look is totally killer, like something your dentist would use. Hmmm.
