Developers, makers and hobbyists looking to create automated projects may be interested in a new automation controller called the Neuron. Which has been launched via Kickstarter this week and is now available to back with earlybird pledges available from $104.
If all goes well shipping throughout the United States is expected to take place during February 2019. Developer Nicholas Freeman explains more about the inspiration, development and specifications of the Neuron automation controller.
“I have been interested in electronics my entire life. As a kid, I would take apart just about any type of electronics I could find just to see what made them work. As I grew older (I’m almost 30 now) I became an electronics hobbyist. Today I am ready to take my knowledge in electronics a step further and that is why I am here. I have always been interested in the automation industry and have created a few devices to control lighting, HVAC, and entertainment devices in my home.
I want to bring my ideas to the world now. I have yet to find any products on the market that combine all aspects of automation together under one company that is both easy to use and affordable for the customers buying them. This is the reason I have started my own designs and prototyping of what I call The Neuron Automation Controller. The name Neuron comes from the neurons that we have in our brains to control communications to our bodies. My controller “The Neuron” will control all aspects of the communications to all other expansion modules I will be designing.“
