Netgear has announced that it is now shipping its cool N300 Wireless ADSL2+ modem router. The device is a DSL modem with an integrated 802.11n wireless WiFi router. The coolest feature of the router/modem is that it has failover if DSL goes down.
The failover function comes by way of a 3G USB modem that the user can plug into an attached USB port. When DSL is out the 3G modem is turned on automatically and once the router detects the DSL is back the 3G modem is deactivated.
The N300 also supports lots of security features, SPI, VPN pass through, DoS protection, and monitors internet traffic. The router is available to purchase right now for $179.99. This perfect thing for the user or business must have internet connectivity all the time.
