Professional photographers may be interested in a new focus, iris and zoom control system created by Gravity Laboratories based in Los Angeles, California. Watch the video below to learn more about the camera control system which is launched via Kickstarter with the aim of raising $50,000 over the next few weeks to make the jump from concept into production.
Early bird pledges are available from $600 for poor hundred and £82 and worldwide deliveries expected to take place before the end of 2019.
“Moxie’s flexible design means that it can grow with you. If you’re just getting started or rarely need wireless lens control, Moxie is affordable; but, if you are a professional cinematographer, Moxie provides the day-in-day-out performance and reliability that you need to get the job done. When considering that motors with comparable performance cost in the neighborhood of $2,000 and can’t be used without a motor driver and a hand-held controller that cost several thousand’s more, it’s not hard to see why Moxie can’t be beat in terms of value and flexibility.”
“What you see in our video and the rest of this page is only a prototype. We’ve leveraged rapid prototyping technologies (like 3D printing) in order to get to this point in just under five months. The final product that will be delivered, should we reach our goal, will be injection molded out of a high-quality, high-strength, low-weight material (such as polycarbonate). Everything that we raise as part of this Kickstarter will be used to cover the cost of tooling and materials needed to take Moxie from prototype to production.”
