We have been hearing rumors for a while that Google is working on a new Motorola X Phone. The handset is said to come with the next major release of Google’s mobile OS, Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie.
We were expecting the Motorola X Phone to launch at Google’s I/O developer conference next month, but there was a recent rumor that the launch of the handset was delayed.
Benchmark Leak and Specifications
Now a new device has apparently appeared in the AnTuTu benchmarks. The handset is called the Google X, and it appears to be running Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie. The photo below appeared on rbmen.
The Motorola X Phone is rumored to come in 20 different colors and will offer a range of customization options in terms of the handset’s look. It is rumored to feature a 4.7-inch full HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. This would place it in direct competition with other high-end smartphones on the market, such as the Samsung Galaxy S4 and the HTC One, both of which also feature full HD displays.
Customization and Features
One of the most exciting aspects of the Motorola X Phone is the potential for extensive customization. According to various sources, users may be able to choose from a variety of colors and materials for the phone’s casing. This level of personalization could set the Motorola X Phone apart from other smartphones, which typically offer limited color options.
In addition to its customizable exterior, the Motorola X Phone is expected to come with a powerful set of internal components. Rumors suggest that the phone will be equipped with a quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, and a high-capacity battery designed to last all day. The device is also expected to feature a high-quality camera, possibly with advanced features such as optical image stabilization and enhanced low-light performance.
Another interesting rumor is that the Motorola X Phone might include some innovative software features. Given that it will be running Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie, it is likely to showcase some of the new capabilities of this latest version of Google’s mobile operating system. This could include improved multitasking, enhanced notifications, and new security features.
As soon as we get some more information on the new Motorola X Phone, including full specifications and some actual pictures of the handset, we will let you guys know.
