Motorola recently announced their new Motorola Moto X smartphone, the handset comes with Android 4.2.2. Jelly Bean and it will go on sale in the US this month.
Now according to Motorola’s CEO, Motorola have almost finished the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update for the Moto X, and the update could be launching sooner than later.
There are no details as yet on when the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update will be released for the Moto X, although we suspect it may be shortly after the handset goes on sale later this month.
Features of the Motorola Moto X
The Motorola Moto X is designed to offer a seamless and intuitive user experience. It features a 4.7-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, providing vibrant colors and sharp images. The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro dual-core processor clocked at 1.7 GHz, coupled with 2GB of RAM, ensuring smooth performance for everyday tasks and multitasking.
One of the standout features of the Moto X is its touchless control functionality. Users can interact with the phone using voice commands without having to touch the device. This is made possible by the always-on listening mode, which allows the phone to respond to the user’s voice even when it is in sleep mode. Additionally, the Moto X includes a 10-megapixel rear camera with Clear Pixel technology, which enhances low-light photography, and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera for video calls and selfies.
Customization and User Experience
Motorola has placed a strong emphasis on customization with the Moto X. Through the Moto Maker online tool, users can personalize their device by choosing from a variety of colors, materials, and accents. This level of customization extends to the software as well, with options to set up personalized notifications and shortcuts.
The Moto X also features Motorola’s Active Display technology, which provides users with important notifications and updates on the lock screen without fully waking the device. This not only saves battery life but also ensures that users can quickly glance at their notifications without having to unlock their phone.
Another notable aspect of the Moto X is its battery life. The device is equipped with a 2200mAh battery, which Motorola claims can last up to 24 hours with mixed usage. This is achieved through a combination of hardware and software optimizations, including the use of a low-power processor for background tasks.
Future Updates and Support
Motorola’s commitment to timely software updates is evident with the upcoming Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update for the Moto X. This update is expected to bring several enhancements and new features to the device, including improved performance, better battery management, and additional customization options. Users can look forward to a more refined and responsive experience once the update is rolled out.
In addition to the Android 4.3 update, Motorola has also hinted at future updates that will bring even more functionality to the Moto X. This includes potential upgrades to newer versions of Android, as well as additional software features that will enhance the overall user experience.
Overall, the Motorola Moto X is shaping up to be a compelling option for smartphone users who value customization, performance, and timely updates. With its innovative features and strong emphasis on user experience, the Moto X is poised to make a significant impact in the competitive smartphone market.
