Back at the Mobile World Congress 2014, Motorola mentioned that the Moto X successor would see the light of day later this year. Later, we found out it will be known as Moto X+1, thanks to the well-connected @evleaks.
Earlier today, the prolific leaker posted another tweet with a wide range of color options for the upcoming Moto X+1, which includes over 20 backplate options.

Wide Range of Customization Options
There are a lot of different backplate options to choose from. Surprisingly, they are not limited to the usual back covers, but the list also shows different wood, as well as leather backs. We’ve heard about the leather backs in the past as well. This level of customization is quite unique in the smartphone market, allowing users to personalize their devices to a greater extent. The wood options include various types such as bamboo, teak, and walnut, providing a natural and premium feel. On the other hand, the leather options come in different colors and textures, adding a touch of elegance and sophistication to the device.
Speculations and Expectations
There’s no word about what we could expect from the handset, but it’s a little too early to talk about it. However, based on the previous Moto X model, we can speculate that the Moto X+1 will likely feature significant improvements in both hardware and software. The original Moto X was praised for its near-stock Android experience and innovative features like touchless control and active display. It wouldn’t be surprising if Motorola continues this trend with the Moto X+1, possibly introducing new features that enhance user experience.
In terms of hardware, we might see an upgraded processor, better camera capabilities, and improved battery life. The original Moto X had a 4.7-inch display, so it’s possible that the Moto X+1 could feature a slightly larger screen, perhaps around 5 inches, to keep up with the current market trends. Additionally, with the increasing importance of security, the Moto X+1 might include advanced security features such as a fingerprint scanner or facial recognition.
Another aspect to consider is the software. Motorola has been known for providing timely updates to its devices, and we can expect the Moto X+1 to run on the latest version of Android available at the time of its release. This would ensure that users have access to the latest features and security updates.
You never know, since we’ve started seeing leaks about the alleged handset, it shouldn’t be long before we find out more information about the handset. The anticipation is building, and tech enthusiasts are eagerly waiting for more details to emerge.
We’ll update you as soon as we get more information, or if any leak pops up. Stay tuned for more updates on the Moto X+1 as we get closer to its official announcement.
