It looks like the Motorola Moto X may be headed to mobile carrier Republic Wireless. The handset is expected to retail for $299 off contract, although this has yet to be confirmed by the carrier.
The news comes from a leaked screenshot for Republic Wireless that you can see below. The screenshot was originally posted on Reddit.
The Motorola Moto X features a 4.7 inch HD AMOLED display with a resolution of 1280 pixels, plus a 1.7GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor and 2GB of RAM. This combination of hardware ensures that the device runs smoothly and efficiently, providing a seamless user experience whether you’re browsing the web, playing games, or multitasking between apps.
Storage and Battery Life
The Moto X comes with either 16GB or 32GB of built-in storage, giving users ample space to store their apps, photos, and other media. However, it’s worth noting that the device does not support expandable storage via microSD cards, so users will need to choose their storage option wisely based on their needs.
The device is powered by a 2,200 mAh battery, which is designed to last a full day on a single charge under typical usage conditions. This means you can go about your day without constantly worrying about finding a charger. Additionally, the Moto X supports fast charging, allowing you to quickly top up the battery when you’re in a hurry.
Software and Additional Features
The Moto X runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, which was one of the more popular versions of Android at the time of its release. This version of Android offers a smooth and user-friendly interface, along with a host of features such as Google Now, which provides personalized information and updates based on your preferences and usage patterns.
One of the standout features of the Moto X is its customization options. Motorola offers a service called Moto Maker, which allows users to personalize their device with a variety of colors and materials for the back cover, front panel, and even the accents. This level of customization was relatively unique at the time and helped the Moto X stand out in a crowded smartphone market.
Another notable feature is the Moto X’s always-on voice control. Users can activate the device and perform various tasks using voice commands without having to touch the phone. This hands-free functionality is particularly useful for tasks such as setting reminders, sending messages, or getting directions while driving.
As soon as we get some confirmation on when the Motorola Moto X will be available on Republic Wireless, we will let you guys know. The addition of the Moto X to Republic Wireless’s lineup would be a significant move, as it would provide customers with a high-quality, affordable smartphone option without the need for a long-term contract.
