Motorola introduced the Moto G Turbo last month in Mexico, but it seems more markets are expected to get the handset soon.
Motorola India posted a teaser on their Twitter handle, hinting at the launch of the new Moto G Turbo this week, possibly on Wednesday.
The company posted a teaser saying, “Power up and get ready for #TurboMode! 3 Days to go for Moto G Turbo edition. Coming soon!” The handset offer rugged features introduced in the Turbo line up, and comes with IP67 certification making it water and dust-resistant to a certain extent.
Rest of the internals of the smartphone are the same, there’s a 5-inch display sporting a resolution of 1920 by 1080 pixels resolution, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 to handle the processing needs paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of in-built storage. There’s a microSD card slot as well for users looking for expandable memory.
Other features include 13MP camera for photos and videos, a 5MP front-facing camera, a 2,470 mAh battery, dual-SIM support and ships with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop as its operating system out of the box.
There’s no word about the price, but it should be equivalent to $283 in the country. We’ll update you as soon as Motorola announces complete details of the handset.
