We heard earlier today that the new Moto Z2 would be made official at a press event on the 27th of June as Motorola sent out some invites for the event.
Now it looks like we have some more information on the specifications on the Moto Z2, the handset will apparently come with a 5.5 inch display and it will feature a Quad HD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels.
Powerful Performance and Memory Options
The Moto Z2 will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, which is one of the most powerful processors available in the market. This chipset is known for its efficiency and high performance, making it ideal for multitasking and running demanding applications. The handset will come with 6GB of RAM, ensuring smooth performance and the ability to handle multiple apps simultaneously without any lag.
There is also the possibility of a 4GB of RAM version of the handset as this was previously spotted on Geekbench. This variant would cater to users who may not need as much memory but still want a powerful device. Both versions will come with the latest version of Google’s mobile OS, Android Nougat, which offers a range of new features and improvements over previous versions.
Camera and Storage Details
As yet there are no details on what cameras the new handset will come with. However, considering the trend in the smartphone industry, it is likely that the Moto Z2 will feature a high-resolution rear camera with advanced features such as optical image stabilization, phase detection autofocus, and possibly even dual-lens technology. The front camera is expected to be optimized for selfies and video calls, with a wide-angle lens and possibly an LED flash for better low-light performance.
There is also no information on what storage options will be available. However, it is reasonable to expect that the Moto Z2 will come with at least 64GB of internal storage, with higher capacity variants such as 128GB or even 256GB. Additionally, the handset is likely to support expandable storage via a microSD card slot, allowing users to increase their storage capacity as needed.
Additional Features and Expectations
The Moto Z2 is expected to come with a range of additional features that enhance the user experience. These may include a fingerprint sensor for added security, fast charging capabilities to quickly recharge the battery, and possibly even water and dust resistance to protect the device from the elements. The handset may also support Moto Mods, which are modular accessories that can be attached to the phone to add new functionality, such as a better camera, additional battery life, or even a projector.
We will have more details and also some photos of the new Moto Z2 when the handset is made official later this month. The launch event on the 27th of June is highly anticipated, and it will be interesting to see what new innovations Motorola brings to the table with the Moto Z2.
