Motorola has released the Moto Z2 Play, but the successor to last year’s Motorola Moto Z and Moto Z Force is still not available. However, it seems things might change in the coming weeks.
Motorola has started sending out press invites for an event on June 27th where the company is expected to unveil the upcoming Moto Z smartphone.
Anticipation for the New Moto Z
The company has not mentioned anything about the launch of the handset but taking a closer look at the invite shows the lady holding a Motorola smartphone with a dual camera setup on the back as well as a design which resembles a lot to the company’s Moto Z line up. This has led to widespread speculation that the new Moto Z will feature significant upgrades, particularly in the camera department. The dual camera setup suggests that Motorola is focusing on improving photo quality, possibly adding features like optical zoom, better low-light performance, and enhanced portrait modes.
Upcoming Events and Expected Announcements
The company has also scheduled an event on June 21st but there’s no word which device will be launched at the event. This has led to further speculation that Motorola might be planning to unveil multiple devices in a short span of time. Also, Motorola is also expected to launch the Moto X4 on June 30th so it seems the company is going to have a busy month. The Moto X4 is rumored to be a mid-range device, which will cater to a different segment of the market compared to the high-end Moto Z series.
Rumors suggest the handset will come with a 5.5-inch QHD display with the processing handled by a Snapdragon 835 processor and 6GB of RAM. This would make the new Moto Z a powerhouse, capable of handling the most demanding apps and games with ease. The QHD display will likely offer stunning visuals, making it ideal for media consumption and gaming. Additionally, the Snapdragon 835 processor is known for its efficiency, which could translate to better battery life despite the high performance.
Another interesting aspect to consider is the potential for new Moto Mods. Motorola’s modular approach allows users to add functionality to their phones through snap-on accessories. With the new Moto Z, we might see innovative new Mods that could include anything from advanced camera lenses to portable projectors or even gaming controllers.
We’ll update you as soon as the smartphone is officially announced. Until then, the tech community will be eagerly awaiting more leaks and information about what could be one of the most exciting smartphone releases of the year.
