MobileNotifier is great open source code that has redesigned the way notifications are handled on iOS. Now in its beta 3 version release the designer and developer of MobileNotifier, Peter Hajas has now just released the largest change since the project’s inception, and believe his application is now ready for general use.
Unfortunately the app is jailbreak-only, but if you are inneed of more refined notifications you can grab it from Cydia. After installing it you will have access to several unique features that will allow you to manage Push notifications of any application you have installed on your iPhone.
For example, if you receive an SMS message it will be displayed at the top of the screen with a preview of the message and the option to respond, or dedicated application loading or you can simply dismiss the notification. Also with a double tap of the home button, as you do for multi-tasking, all notifications will then be displayed in chronological order and may be removed with a horizontal swipe or opened in their respective applications.
