mLogic has this week unveiled a new Thunderbolt connection peripheral in the form of the mLogic mLink, which has been designed to enable owners of Thunderbolt enabled Apple systems, to add PCIe cards.
mLogic mLink has been designed to accept almost any half-length PCIe card and then allow you to attach it to any Thunderbolt enabled computer.
“Thunderbolt technology in combination with mLogic’s mLink brings unique expandability and high-performance to users with mobile and all-in-one computers,” says Jason Ziller, Director Thunderbolt Marketing, Intel. “We’re excited to see mLink provide these capabilities to media creators and enthusiasts.”
The new Thunderbolt technology enables the mLogic mLink to transfer data at up to 10 Gbps, 20 times faster than USB 2.0 and 12 times faster than FireWire 800. The addition of two Thunderbolt ports allow you to daisy chain the mLink up to six times if desired, using DisplayPort, DVI, HDMI, Mini DisplayPort and VGA displays.
The mLogic mLink is now available to purchase for $400, for more information jump over to the mLogic website.
