The coolest thing to come out of Aston Martin in a long time was the Valkyrie hypercar. A new rumor is making the rounds that claims a baby Valkyrie is coming. The car would be a direct competitor to the Ferrari 488. More supercar competition is very good news, even if you aren’t in the income bracket to afford a supercar.
The so-called baby Valkyrie will be the second Aston made built in conjunction with the Red Bull Racing F1 team. Aston Martin CEO Andy Palmer says that the car will be less extreme than the Valkyrie, but will benefit directly from F1 tech.
The car certainly won’t be called baby Valkyrie, but what it will be called is a mystery for now. The car will also aim directly at the McLaren 720S and will go on sale around 2020. The mid-engine beast will be Aston’s first ever mid-engine car and hybrid tech is expected to make an appearance.
