Xbox One owners that have been experiencing problems with their console making excessive noise, will be pleased to know that Microsoft has today announced it will be replacing the batch of noisy Xbox One consoles.
A number of Xbox One owners have reported a loud whirring sound when their Microsoft games console is showing the console’s desktop screen, without any game being played. Check out the video after the jump to see and hear what problems have been occurring for some Xbox One users.
If you have been experiencing excessive noise problems coming from your Xbox One next generation games console you can join the 800 other owners who have responded to a thread over on the Microsoft official forum.
It has been reported that some Xbox One consoles have been alleviated of the noise by simply plugging in the Xbox One Kinect sensor. However it is not confirmed whether this is a solution for every case. A Microsoft spokesperson explained in an interview that :
“We have heard that a small number of Xbox One owners in some situations may hear a noise from the console that is too loud,”. “While this does not affect the safety or functionality of the system, we’re asking customers who believe they are experiencing this issue to contact Xbox Support: http://support.xbox.com. At the request of our customers, we are exchanging those consoles for new systems.”
