Microsoft has this week released a new upgrade to their SkyDrive service, in response to feedback they have received from users. SkyDrive is Microsoft’s Cloud service that allows users to share and store Office documents. Now Microsoft has updated the sharing features within the service, enabling you to share via email, post to networks, or create a link.
Together with other features that allow you to manage your documents in a more accessible way. Watch a video created by Microsoft explaining the new SkyDrive features below.
Enhanced Sharing Capabilities
One of the most notable improvements in this update is the enhanced sharing capabilities. Previously, users had limited options when it came to sharing their documents. Now, with the new update, users can share their files more flexibly and conveniently. You can share documents via email, which is particularly useful for sending files directly to colleagues or friends. Additionally, you can post links to your documents on various social networks, making it easier to collaborate and share information with a broader audience. The option to create a link allows for quick sharing without the need to attach files, streamlining the process significantly.
Improved Document Management
In addition to the enhanced sharing features, Microsoft has also focused on improving document management within SkyDrive. The update includes a range of new features designed to make managing your documents more intuitive and efficient. Actions such as upload, delete, copy, move, rename, share, and create now function inline. This means that users can perform these actions directly within the interface without needing to navigate away from the current page. This inline functionality improves the performance and responsiveness of the SkyDrive service, making it faster and more user-friendly.
For example, if you need to upload a new document, you can do so directly from the main interface without having to open a separate upload window. Similarly, renaming or moving a file can be done with just a few clicks, saving time and reducing the complexity of managing your documents. These improvements are particularly beneficial for users who manage a large number of files and need a streamlined way to keep everything organized.
Furthermore, the update includes various tweaks and code enhancements that improve the overall performance of SkyDrive. These changes ensure that the service runs smoothly and efficiently, providing a better user experience. Whether you are a student, professional, or casual user, these improvements make SkyDrive a more powerful and versatile tool for storing and sharing your documents.
