Musicians and DJs searching for a combined synthesiser and MIDI controller may be interested in the Miclop Ctrl X, which has been designed by a development team based in Madrid, Spain. The Miclop Ctrl X has taken to Kickstarter this week to raise the required €78,000 needed to finish development of the synthesiser and MIDI controller. Watch the demonstration video below to learn more about the Ctrl X system which is now available to back with earlybird pledges available from €299 or £262.
If all goes well worldwide shipping is expected to take place during February 2019. The system is equipped with Oscillators, Filters, Modulation, Matrix, Arpeggiators, Effects and more. The development team at Miclop explain more. “We have a polyphonic synthesizer with 2 oscillators based on samplers through the soundfont power. Classic waves, samplers from our favourite synthesizers or sampled instruments can be loaded on to it. Ctrl-x collects different types of synthesis such as FM and RM or one complete section to carry out waveshaper and other sections for synthesis by phase distortion. Both sections can be mixed with our oscillator sf2 or be used as single signal. It also counts on a unison engine with pitch independence to diffuse these voices through a different spectrum from the original signal. A sub-oscillator with classic waves and octave selection complete the oscillator.”
