MIT student Natan Linder has created the LuminAR Robotic Lamp, which beams information around your office. As you will see in the video below the LuminAR can display information on a desk, and you can then interact with the information.
The video below shows the LuminAR displaying a virtual keyboard on the desk which can be used to type, as well as view web pages and basically anything you would do on your computer.
The LuminAR Lamp is an articulated robotic arm, designed to interface with the LuminAR Bulb. Both LuminAR form factors dynamically augment their environments with media and information, while seamlessly connecting with laptops, mobile phones, and other electronic devices. LuminAR transforms surfaces and objects into interactive spaces that blend digital media and information with the physical space.
It certainly looks very interesting, and may give us a glimpse of how computers will function in the future.
