Light Light Kilo Interactive Video Uses Thousands Of Mouse Paths (video)

1:34 pm April 16, 2013 By Julian Horsey

The Light Light Kilo music video requires you to follow on-screen instructions with your mouse cursor, while the interactive video records your cursor path and adds it to the video for all to see.

Light Light, the Netherlands-based band, has enlisted Roel Wouters to create a browser-based interactive user experience for their new music video for the song called ‘Kilo’.

Check out and interact with the Light Light Kilo music video over at the Do Not Touch website. Enjoy! You can also purchase and download the new Light Light Kilo song from the Bandcamp website for €0.99.

Interactive Music Video Experience

The interactive music video for ‘Kilo’ is a unique and innovative approach to engaging fans. As you move your mouse cursor to follow the on-screen instructions, your cursor path is recorded and becomes part of the video. This means that every viewer’s interaction is captured and displayed, creating a dynamic and ever-changing visual experience. The concept behind this interactive video is to make each viewing unique, as the collective input from all viewers shapes the final presentation.

This kind of interactive experience is not just a novelty; it represents a shift in how artists can engage with their audience. By involving fans directly in the creation of the visual component of the music video, Light Light is fostering a deeper connection with their listeners. This method also highlights the potential for technology to transform traditional media formats, making them more participatory and immersive.

About Light Light and Their Music

Light Light is a collaboration between the sleaze rockers zZz and the folk noir minimalists Saelors. This combination of talents brings together a diverse range of musical influences, resulting in a sound that is both unique and captivating. Their shared love for trippy low-fi instruments and psychedelic sonic experiments gives new meaning to the term “super group.” Established halfway through 2011, Light Light has been working on their debut record, which promises to deliver an eclectic mix of sounds and styles.

The band’s approach to music is experimental and boundary-pushing. By blending different genres and incorporating unconventional instruments, Light Light creates a soundscape that is both familiar and innovative. Their music often features hypnotic rhythms, haunting melodies, and a raw, unpolished aesthetic that sets them apart from more mainstream acts.

The song ‘Kilo’ exemplifies Light Light’s distinctive style. It combines elements of rock, folk, and psychedelic music to create a track that is both catchy and thought-provoking. The interactive music video for ‘Kilo’ enhances the listening experience by adding a visual component that is as dynamic and unpredictable as the music itself.
