There have been a number of reports of overheating issues on the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, we heard yesterday that Samsung may have dropped the processor from their new Galaxy S6 smartphone.
One of the first devices to be announced with the Snapdragon 810 is the new LG G Flex 2, the device is expected to go on sale later this month.
So far there have just been rumors about possible overheating issues with the processor, and now LG has spoken out about the processor in their new LG G Flex 2.
According to LG there are no problems with the processor, and they have said that the device actually emits less heat than other smartphones, you can see a statement from Woo Ram-chan who is the vice president of LG Mobile below.
“I am very much aware of the various concerns in the market about the (Snapdragon) 810, but the chip’s performance is quite satisfactory, I don’t understand why there is a issue over heat,”.
With all the recent reports of potential issues, LG are obviously looking to reassure their customers that their new handset has no problems, otherwise these reports could potentially hurt sales of the handset.
The LG G Flex 2 will go on sale in South Korea on the 20th of January, the handset will also launch in the U.S., UK and other parts of Europe shortly after the South Korean launch.
