Several OEMs around the globe have launched the so-called “Mini” versions of their flagship devices that comes with a slightly lower price tag, and trimmed down specifications. For instance, Samsung released several mini versions, including the Galaxy S3 and S4, HTC with its One Mini, Sony with the Z1 Compact and so one.
Last December, we heard a rumor that LG might be working on the LG G2 Mini, which could be true. Recently, an alleged device with a model number LG-D620 stopped by the Bluetooth SIG, which is said to be the mini version of the LG G2.
The filing on Bluetooth SIG doesn’t reveal what we can expect from the miniature version of the flagship from LG, but other rumors point out some of the specifications we could expect from LG. The rumors suggest it will come with a slightly smaller display with a lower resolution. Some say it will boast a 720p resolution while others are in the favor of qHD (540 x 960) pixels.
There are no details about the chipset or any other hardware specification of the device, except for its operating system. It’s rumored to come with Android 4.4 KitKat pre-installed out of the box.
There’s no word about any such handset from LG, but I guess we will find out about it in the coming weeks. We’ll update you as soon as anything comes up.
