Samsung has a new foldable smartphone coming next year and now it looks like LG may have a similar device in the works.
LG has recently filed some trademarks for LG Flex, LG Foldi and LG Duplex which could possibly be used for the companies’ new foldable devices.
There have been rumors that a new foldable smartphone from LG could be shown off at CES 2019 in January, it is also possible that we may see something at Mobile World Congress in February.
Not many specifications are known about these new devices, these recent trademark filings were filed on the 21st of November at the EUIPO (European Union Intellectual Property Office).
The three trademarks are classified as class 9, this class covers smartphones, so there is a good chance that one or all of these names will be used for a new foldable device from LG.
