Rumours have been circulating that Sprint is currently developing its own NFC-based digital wallet for mobile devices. Now the presentation slides have revealed have confirmed that the new digital wallet from Sprint is actually in development.
The leaked slides reveal that McDonald’s, Barnes and Noble, Macy’s, Target, Best Buy together with other financial partners are looking to become part of the new digital wallet scheme. By either accepting full payments or providing loyalty card services.
The slides leaked from the presentation reveal that Sprint is developing something along similar lines to Google’s Wallet application. Even with the slides revealing a little more about Sprint’s digital wallet service. There are still a number of areas which are still unknown. Namely which banks will be partnering with Sprint to help the service come to life.
Unfortunately no information on pricing or worldwide availability has been released as yet, but as soon as information comes to light we will keep you updated as always.
