We saw some pictures of the new Land Rover Explore smartphone earlier this month and now the car maker has made its new rugged smartphone official.
The Land Rover Explore is launching at Mobile World Congress next week and the handset comes with an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. It also is designed to be drop proof at a height of up to 1.8 meters. The device features a touchscreen display that is designed to work when you are wearing gloves.
The new Land Rover smartphones comes with a 5 inch display with a Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and a it will feature a MediaTek Helio X27 processor and 4GB of RAM, the handset will also come with 64GB of built in storage.
If you need some extra storage the device will come with a microSD card slot for expansion and it will feature front and rear cameras. On the front of the handset there will be an 8 megapixel ca,era for Selfies and on the back a 16 megapixel camera for photos and videos.
The Land Rover Explore will come with a 4000 mAh battery and an optional add on battery pack, pus LTE, WiFi and Bluetooth. As yet there are no details on pricing or a launch date, we will have more details next week when the handset is show off at MWC.
