KTM is set to bring two versions of the X-Bow to the US- finally. There are some caveats that might make you lean more towards the Ariel Atom than the X-Box though. The big caveat is that neither of the X-Bow cars for America will be street legal, the other is the price.
The cars will only be offered for closed course track work, but they will be fun in their element. One version of the X-Bow will be the Comp R spec with a 2.0L turbo engine making 330hp and 310 lb-ft of torque. It will get a 6-speed manual transmission offering a 3.9-seconds 0-60 time and 144mph top speed.
The other version will be the Comp R 1st Edition with 350hp and 321 lb-ft of torque with a 3.2-second 0-60mph time and a top speed of 150 mph. Both versions meet SCCA Formula S&A rules for racing. Pricing is expected to be in the $100,000 range. Ouch.
