Instrument and music peripheral manufacturer Korg has unveiled their latest generation and flagship analogue synthesiser which takes the form of the Korg Prologue. Kong are marketing the new synthesiser as the “ultimate multi-voice, multi-timbre, multi-engine synthesiser” and have equipped it with a fully programmable feature set.
Features of the Korg Prologue include a full-sized keyboard, powerful analog circuits built from the previous technology and expertise in earlier models as well as a newly developed digital multi engine and DSP-based effects system, “prologue expands the variety of sounds and the possibilities for user customisation”, says Korg. Programming features include 500 voices with more than 250 preload and 250 user programs. With each program capable of providing a program sort function that includes voice mode and timbre settings, and allows up to 8 × 4 banks of live set programs to be registered in the synthesiser.
The new Korg Prologue synthesiser range comprises of two models which have been specifically created to cover the needs of musicians not only on stage but also in the studio.
