Pricing for the 2018 Kia Stinger has gone official and the car is a bit pricy for a Kia. You do have to consider that Kia is targeting some big brands like BMW, Audi, and Mercedes with the Stinger. I’m just not convinced that buyers will shop Kia when wanting to spend BMW money, even if the Kia is cheaper comparatively.
The base Stinger will start at $32,795 with a 255hp turbo four under the hood. For the money you do get leather, 8-speed auto with paddle shifters, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment and more. If you are in an area with lots of snow, an AWD upgrade adds $2200. The Premium package will push the price to $37,895 but gets you a sunroof, LED lights, 7-inch instrument cluster display, and an 8-inch infotainment touchscreen with nav.
If you want the Stinger GT and its available 365hp twin-turbo 3.3L V6, that will start at $39,895. The GT will come in base GT apparently with the base engine and a few visual add ons, GT1 packing the larger engine, and the GT2 packs everything and gets a $50,395 price tag to prove it. Kia says these are price estimates, so they could change before launch later this year.
