Iron Man fandom reaches next level when a certified fan creates a flame glove, with gauntlets and other parts all home-made.
Patrick Priebe creates and uses cyberpunk weapons as a hobby, and his previous works were really impressive to be released in the market, but this time, his Iron Man-inspired masterpiece won’t be available for purchase.
While there are similar devices and exhibitions found on Youtube, Priebe deemed their flames too small to be legitimate. “My goal was to find the perfect mix of reliable ignition and a nice tall flame. Another goal was to make it as light as possible, so I stuck with my own laser-glove design and changed it a li’l bit,” reveals Priebe, called by some Youtube users as the real-life Tony Stark.
So what’s in this flame glove? Priebe does not want to divulge full details, but he revealed that the aluminum and brass glove is fueled by butane, plus with parts like NE555 circuit board, HV driver, and a flyback transformer. Check out the full flame glove exhibition here.
